Skot proposed to Marie in a treehouse. Their life together has been one of color and adventure and splendor, with a love once described as “a bouquet of fresh cut flowers” in a wedding toast. I couldn’t agree more. For this shoot I got to photograph two of my nearest and dearest friends, but I also got to photograph people that inspire me. I’ve been telling Marie she should be a stylist for years because everything she touches turns to gold, and Skot is an incredible artist in his own right. He’s actually the person that first inspired me to pursue photography; some 15+ years ago when he was photographing strange and beautiful images of his hands through colored filters.
Currently living in a floating home on the Columbia River, it was pretty wonderful photographing them for their 10 year wedding anniversary. I love you Skot & Marie. Cheers to many more years of love and adventure!
